The initiative was a collaboration between The B.M.A (Barbados Manufacturing Association) and the B.A.D.M.C to have a store at the airport which stocks and sells primarily locally produced products.

The store name itself has been re-branded from "The B.A.D.M.C Convenience Store" to "Carmeta's" named after the late Senator Carmeta Fraser who was an advocate of locally grown food in Barbados.

I.D&D was commissioned by The B.M.A to make the then B.A.D.M.C Convenience store into a store which has a more up-scaled look and appeal to it and as a result came up with a refreshed and enhanced design for the store.
